What is an Escape Room? What is an Escape Mission?

Missions are different from Escape Rooms: You won’t be locked inside a room to find your way out. You will receive a mission assignment that you need to complete.

This quest takes place in a public space.

When you’ve arrived at the starting point, you’ll start solving a variety of different riddles and tasks. You have 60 minutes to finish your quest.

All missions take place in roofed public areas, so you can play them with any weather.

How many players should a team have?

The number of players in our Missions in Spreitenbach is 2 to 10 persons. For 2-5 players, you will play in a single team. If you’re 6-10 players, you’ll play the game as duel as two teams against each other.

What does "duel mode" mean in the Missions?

In a duel, two teams play against each other. At the end of the game you can compare the time it took for you to finish the game: There’s always a winning team to be found!

Are Missions similar to Foxtrail?

No. With Foxtrail, you need to decipher encoded information in order to proceed to the next point in your assignment. You’ll proceed from one point to the next one and explore the city at the same time.

Our Missions take place at a public space that’s roofed. When you start solving puzzles and riddles, you will receive codes that will help you proceed to the next stages of the Mission or that will include useful information in order to complete your assignment successfully.

Can I play in English?

Our Missions in Spreitenbach are only available in German.

Can I play your games by myself?

Our URBANescape games are interactive games for 2 to 5 or 6 players, depending on the game. To solve certain puzzles and riddles, more than one players are needed. Unfortunately, you cannot play by yourself.

How old do I need to be to play?

We recommend our Missions to players older than 12 years of age.

Can I show up spontaneously or do I need to book my game in advance?

Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate spontaneous appointments without a booking at URBANescape. You always need to book your game in advance. You can book a game up until 24 hours in advance directly online. For last-minute bookings (less than 24 hours before the game) please contact us directly.

How can I change or cancel my booking?

You can cancel or change your Escape Room or Mission booking up until 48 hours before the game starts. All changes are subject to availability.

For Outdoor Missions, you can cancel or change your booking up until 5 hours before the game starts in case the weather is bad. No cancelation fee will be charged in this case.

We only accept written cancelations or changes to bookings. Therefore, please get in touch via e-mail.

Please note: For no-shows, we reserve the right to not refund your payment.

When should we arrive before the game starts? What happens if we're late?

It is important that you arrive 10 minutes before the game appointment starts . The game rules will be explained before each game.

We have a set daily schedule that we need to follow. Therefore, if you arrive late, we can’t postpone your appointment to end later. Thus, the later you arrive, the less game time you have to play.
